I typically triple this recipe; add extra clams and I like it thinner so light on the flour and will add more water or half and half if needed.
1- 6oz Minced Clams
1- 12oz can Whole Baby Clams
1 Cup Celery
2 Cups diced potato.
1 12oz can whole kernel corn
1 Cup chopped onion.
1/2 Cup flour
3/4 Cup butter
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 qt. half and half
In a heavy saucepan combine the liquid from the clams, onion, celery, potatoes, corn, and water to cover. Simmer for 10 minutes or until tender.
Meanwhile-- Combine in another saucepan the butter, flour, salt and 1/4 tsp pepper.
Add half and half and blend well. Cook until a bit thick.
Combine both mixes, adding the clams.
Add a chicken Bouillion cube for every 2-3 cups of water.
